Escaping to the shore should be the easiest part of your trip. Located in the heart of Monmouth County at 601 Central Avenue, The Salted Cottage is incredibly accessible whether you are driving down or hopping on the train.
By car
We're a straightforward drive from both New York City and Philadelphia. Once you arrive, you'll pull right into our expansive paver driveway. No circling the block for street parking — your spots are guaranteed and waiting for you.
By train
Prefer to let someone else do the driving? The NJ Transit Spring Lake station, on the North Jersey Coast Line, is a short scenic walk or quick cab ride from our front door. Step off the train from Penn Station and have your toes in the sand in no time.
Lincoln or Holland Tunnel, NJ Turnpike south to Exit 11, Garden State Parkway south to Exit 98, Route 138 east, then Route 71 south into Spring Lake.
Note: Leave before 2pm or after 7pm on summer Fridays. The Parkway backs up badly between exits 105 and 98.
Beach badges
Spring Lake requires a badge for beach access. Two seasonal badges come with the house, so there's nothing to buy and nothing to pick up.
Once you're here, the cart handles the rest. Beach, bakery, dinner, home.
