Spring Lake Beach Badges, Explained

If you are staying with us during the summer, you can skip this entirely. Two seasonal beach badges are included with your stay. They'll be sitting right on the kitchen counter when you walk in.

For larger groups, here is a quick breakdown of how the beach system operates.

How it works

Like most New Jersey beach towns, Spring Lake requires a badge for access to the sand during the summer. It's a small tag you clip to your bag. This system is the exact reason our beaches remain so remarkably clean and well-maintained.

The Cost

For extra guests, seasonal badges are $110 for adults (12+) and $80 for seniors (65+). Daily passes are also available and can be purchased right at the beach entrances. (Young children are free, but the age cutoff fluctuates slightly, so confirm with the badge checkers at the pavilion!)

The beauty of the Spring Lake beach

Spring Lake has the longest non-commercial boardwalk in New Jersey. Two miles of ocean views, uninterrupted by arcades, rides, or food stands.

To keep the ecosystem pristine, food and coolers are not allowed on the sand itself (though you can happily enjoy them on the boardwalk benches). It requires a slight shift in how you pack for the day, but it results in a beautifully quiet, serene beach experience.

Getting there is effortless. It's a gorgeous six-block walk from The Salted Cottage, or a quick four-minute zip on the golf cart.
